“I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2018, my daughter and her three boys lived with me. And I had been sober for about three and a half years, and I relapsed. My daughter moved out, and I had custody of my her youngest Braden. At that time he was about 14 months old. She came and took him from me, and four months later, her boyfriend murdered my grandson. He put fentanyl in the baby sippy cup. It was enough to kill three grown men. I just decided that I wanted to be there for the rest of my grandkids. He just keeps me going every single day every single day. I'll look at that picture when I pray in the morning, and that motivates me that no matter how much pain I'm in, just to get up and just keep going.”
